Ben Laposky was among the first to experiment with using analog computers and electronics to generate artworks in the early 1950s. He is known for creating abstract long exposure photographs which he called “oscillons”, which were created using oscilloscope displays, sine-wave generators and other electronics. In this video, Jack DiLaura walks you through creating generative feedback-based art that uses Laposky’s art generation technique and aesthetic style as inspiration.
