We will welcome Akiko Yamashita, a projection and lighting artist and former professional dancer who currently works as a technical director at VTProDesign. She will lead another TouchDesigner L-system workshop!

■ Contents
This workshop will cover creating an interactive Japanese maple tree scene using L-systems.
Techniques include instancing, mouse input to change the color of the leaves, using multiple textures and randomizing, adding point attribute with metaball and Magnet SOP, wind like animation, Particle SOP for the falling leaves and land on the water surface, PBR Material workflow, water reflection, importing Megascans 3D rock model, preparing leaf textures.

Akiko Yamashita

Akiko Yamashita is a Japanese artist best known for projection mapping and light installations currently based in Los Angeles. Her artworks explore visual illusions with prism inspired full spectrum of colors. She works as a Technical Director at VTProDesign, a full service creative design studio with a focus on the latest technology and techniques in Los Angeles, California. She is a former professional dancer and has 15 years of experience. She enjoys working with music, fashion, and architecture providing solutions to light up the environment. Her light hallway “Portal” won A’Design Silver Awards. Most recent work ‘Hana Fubuki’ was exhibited in the Main Gallery at Artechouse DC as a part of In Peaks Bloom.

このワークショップでは、L-Systemを使ってインタラクティブなモミジを作っていきます。今回学べるテクニックは、インスタンス、マウスによるインタラクションで葉の色を変える、複数のテクスチャーをランダムに使用、メタボールとマグネットSOPを使ってポイントにアトリビュートを追加する、風のようなアニメーション、パーティクルSOPで落ちる葉が水の上に着地、PBRマテリアルワークフロー、水面の反射、メガスキャンから岩のモデルをインポート、葉のテクスチャーの用意の仕方などです。

Akiko Yamashita 山下晶子

山下晶子は札幌出身、ロサンゼルス在住の、プロジェクションマッピングや光のインスタレーションを得意とするアーティスト。彼女の作品は、視覚の錯覚や、プリズムにインスパイアされた全スペクトルの色を使った表現が特徴的。彼女はロサンゼルスでVTProDesignというデザインスタジオのテクニカルディレクターとして働いている。ダンサーとしての経歴が15年あり、音楽、ファッション、建築などの現場に光を用いた空間演出を楽しんでいる。光のトンネル、「Portal」はA’Design Silver Awardsを受賞した。近年では「Hana Fubuki」が、Artechouse DCのメインギャラリーで公開された。

■　事前準備
・TouchDesignerがインストールされたPC。
・マウス（3ボタン推奨です。操作が楽になります）
・サブモニターがあると、メインは自分の操作画面にできるので快適です。
