Owen Kirby is an audio-visual artist from Montreal, Canada with a background in science, film-making and electro-acoustic music composition. He studied cinema at Collège Champlain and went on to study electroacoustic music composition at Concordia University.
His love of electronic sound and real-time video workflows led him to spend time exploring the audio-synthesis side of TouchDesigner; discovering techniques and workflows which he documents and shares through his YouTube series: Electronic Ape Friends.
A keen biology enthusiast, he is in the process of proving the first partial albino morph of a local species of isopod and has created introductory myrmecology kits which have sold side by side with his TouchDesigner components on his Etsy store: StareIntoTheFire.
