Tekt – Leap Motion and Resolume – Interactive & Immersive Championship TouchDesigner Project

These projects were created as part of The Interactive & Immersive Championship.

Round 1: Tekt’s piece for round 1 uses Leap Motion to control Nvidia Flow smoke emitters matching the user’s hand positions and a pinch gesture to control the emitter size. It also applies distortion that follows the user’s hands, pushing and pulling pixels to create swirling trails.
Round 2: For round 2, Tekt used Twitch comments to trigger clips and show animated text in Resolume. The piece uses Spout to pipe video back and forth between Resolume and TouchDesigner, using clips in Resolume as a texture in a rendering in TouchDesigner, then passes the output back to Resolume to apply effects.
