AGNES_V1_E1 – TouchDesigner / Arduino Installation

An experimental mini-installation using Arduino and TouchDesigner.

Each bowl toggles a distinct video when picked up. Audio can also be incorporated into the installation.

For this project, I wanted to experiment with conceptual installation and creative practice. I thought, what a robot made you a snack? What would that look like? Each bowl is a snack created by Agnes, with each video revealing her snack-making process.

I thought AI would be an appropriate contribution considering Agnes is supposed to be a robot. This was a useful opportunity to incorporate AI into my workflow without compromising my own creativity or practice.

The video files are Runway-generated, which are heavily manipulated using TouchDesigner. They are layered over additional background videos made in After Effects. Accelerometers are used to track position data.
