a method for midi visualizers in Touchdesigner, notes to rotated lines (goldberg var1)
Thank all the touchdesigner tutorial makers on Youtube and other platforms very much for making the entries to the software really easy, especially @elekktronaut because this .toe file is basically all based on his midi visualizer tutorial.
I was trying to approach a accurate method to match music notes to visual elements and that was actually for a attempt to imagine architectural spaces in the way a music is composed. Refferencing includes works from Kandinsky, Xenakis, Libeskind along with a lot others, and a lot of visualizer videos as well as a lot of live set footages at printworks and drumsheds london with amazing VJing.
I managed to bring about this in html with GPT. That actually did well but I decide to switch to touchdesigner for more detailed response and intereactions. I’m still trying with variations of this method, hopefully this will continue to get better. (I think more videos are coming. )
The midi used is downloaded from kunstderfuge.com, which is a very cool website.
