Getting the most out of exported videos in TouchDesigner

NOTE: It’s hard to see the comparisons in my recording since the video’s been compressed by Youtube. I’ve uploaded this TD file on Github so you can make the comparisons yourself.

In this tutorial I will walk through my learnings regarding exporting videos from TouchDesigner. One of the most common problems I run into is banding with gradients. While it’s impossible to avoid fully I will show you how you can use the Animation codec in TouchDesigner and then Adobe Media Encoder to have the most control over your video compression.
