TouchDesigner Novel Audio (Rotated EDO Microtone): Oscillator Orchestra Mimics Foundring
This is mp3 audio being mimicked by pure sine wave audio oscillators. None of the original audio file is in the final mix. The copycat song is played by dozens or hundreds of single oscillators, each dedicated to reproducing a single Hz value from a customizable microtone scale list.
It only captures a tiny fraction of the audio ( a few dozen or a few hundred hz values are captured out of the 20000 that you can hear). For this reason the amplitude of those few have to brought up a great deal to fill in for the missing majority.
This technique is useful and interesting for laying effects on a single instrument, where a tighter Hz range can be used to get more nearby Hz at once, or focused on resonant frequencies only
This is an altogether different method of doing something very similar to the oscillator orchestra used a few years ago. This method is hugely more accurate, and less robotic sounding. and also customizable.
Music is from the perma-shadowbanned artist foundring’s album “shut it down”, which was shut down from YouTube.
