Revolutionize Lighting Control Pan Tilt Programming in TouchDesigner

A very sweet topic about moving head programming in TouchDesigner and GrandMA:
how to calculate pan-tilt coordinates in space.
There’s a logic in the GrandMA domain that isn’t often used—
it’s about calibrating your lighting setup and assigning fixtures to track a virtual object.
Then you just control the coordinates of that object,
and all your fixtures follow it.

In TouchDesigner, we can go further and build a different logic for controlling pan and tilt.
If your setup is calibrated,
you can create a system where each fixture tracks its own virtual object.
Now, instead of manually dialing every position preset,
you manipulate an array or matrix of these objects—
giving you organic, dynamic control over your lights.

That’s what we’re working on.
