Fire and Lava – Immersive Art using Touchdesigner

I’ve decided it’s time to embrace both sides of my brain, the technical and the artistic, which have been fighting with each other for mutually exclusive attention all of my life, but now they are just going to have to get along together.

I’ve been learning how to make immersive art using TouchDesigner. It’s challenging, which I like, and very exciting, realising the potential of the technology. I’m not thinking to stop my traditional art practice but rather I’m seeking to complement it.

It’s fascinating to play with. Next step for me is to project it, and then see if I can get the interaction to work with a Kinect movement sensor.
