This tutorial is an essential training on how to send MIDI notes and data from TouchDesigner to Ableton Live.

By pressing buttons and moving sliders, you will be able to generate specific notes or a range of notes, stopping to play and module their pitches and aftertouches.

This tutorial requires an already existing set-up between TouchDesigner and Ableton Live.

You don’t need any previous Phyton knowledge for this tutorial. In fact, the Phyton scripts we will use are very basic and you will be guided through them. Make just sure you type them correctly.
Through the Python scripts we will use the SendMIDI MIDI Output function of the AbletonMIDI1 component of the TDAbleton Package and especially the following methods:
– note
– flush
– pitchbend
– aftertouch
