TouchDesigner Audio-reactive Live Cam Effect // Daniel Avery – Need Electric (2023 Redux)

Real-time effect made in TouchDesigner.
The camera feed is processed live with cache manipulations, temporal distortions, ghost-trail effects and audio-reactive responses synced to the track.

This patch in my mind kinda visualizes how overstimulation, spiraling thoughts and panic attacks feel from the inside. So many things piling up, repeating, echoing, blurring into each other until everything becomes too loud so you want to escape but at the same time you are stuck in this hypnotic dissociative state that feels familiar. It’s like super loud but silent at the same time.
