The **Pixel Stretching Effect** is a TouchDesigner project that creates the illusion of **pixels being vertically stretched and elongated**, resulting in a glitch-like, abstract visual. Rather than simple distortion, this effect makes the image appear as if it is dripping downward or breaking apart into fragments.

Key Features

Displace TOP Pixel Distortion
The base video is processed through a Displace TOP with a displacement map applied. This causes vertical pixel lines to extend, generating the signature “stretching” effect.

Controlled by Constant TOP
A Constant TOP is used to define and adjust the intensity and direction of the displacement. This allows fine control over the density and spread of the stretched pixels.

Edge & Level Refinement
Edge TOP and Level TOP are applied to sharpen stretched pixel boundaries and enhance overall contrast. The result is a fragmented texture with stronger visual impact.

Simple but Highly Extensible Structure
The core network is intentionally minimal, making it easy to swap the displacement input with noise, textures, or audio-reactive maps for a wide variety of stylistic outcomes.
