Hello, this is Xtal.

The Fragments FX project is a TouchDesigner setup that visually simulates geometry-based fragments breaking apart and forming abstract motion. This file demonstrates how SOPs, TOPs, and COMPs can work together to create particle-like disintegration with a cinematic feel.

Key Features
Geometry-Driven Fragments
Built from a Circle SOP and transformed through a series of operations, the base shape is shaded with a Phong MAT and rendered with proper Light and Camera settings to enhance depth and realism.

Multi-Level Mask Processing
Multiple Level TOPs and Lookup TOPs are layered to control color correction, contrast, and alpha masking. Each mask stage highlights the fragmentation process, emphasizing the visual separation and overlap of pieces.

Merge & Composite Workflow
Individual fragments are recombined in a Merge TOP, creating the final composite. This process produces the signature discontinuous and scattered fragment effect.

Dynamic Control
With Math TOPs, Select TOPs, and Lookup variations, you can dynamically adjust fragment size, intensity, and distribution, making this project highly versatile for creative exploration.

Creative Applications

This project is not limited to a single look it can be extended into:
Abstract moving posters or visual art,
Audio-reactive visualizers,
Real-time VJ / live performance effects.
