RoadSide: A Modern Screendance Touchdesigner Sound Reactive GPU Particle System Project

This groundbreaking project artfully blends position tracking data with a GPU particle system that’s reactive to sound, all framed within the intuitive design of TouchDesigner. As the rhythm guides the dancer’s every step, a visual symphony of particles dances along, creating a spectacle of light that mirrors the harmony of motion and sound.

I consider this particular project like a double brewed coffee. Basically, I sent the video through a Touchdesigner node system twice! First, I created the blob from the cache of the dancer and overlayed that original cache. I recorded that video via NDI through OBS, then routed it once again through a GPU particle system where the speed of the particles are referenced by the kick of the drum beat. Turned out to be a pretty sweet finish!
